Hispanic Flags and Shields: Which ones remain in the U.S.?
Some of the North American States cannot hide their origin, since even in their flags and shields the Spanish symbols are seen.
It is curious to confirm that most of the citizens of the United States do not know the flag of one of the 2 countries that were decisive to achieve their independence as a nation. France has been deified and Spain has been forgotten, which controlled most of North America, at that time, from Louisiana to the Pacific, as well as the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico.

Hispanic Shields, Statues and Symbols
Sometimes semi-hidden
During these centuries the United States has lived oblivious to its own history. Only the history of the 13 English colonies and westward expansion has been studied. But it has been ignored that 3/4 of the current territory of the U.S, was explored by the Spanish. 100 years after the first English arrived, Hispanic populations already existed in its territory.
For all this, as soon as you look in a little detail, flags, shields and statues appear that recall its Hispanic past. The multitude of Spanish place names of the territory also suggest it. In some states it is more evident as ex. Texas.
The Spanish flag appears on the reverse of the Texas shield. At the top of the Texas Capitol you can see the shield of Castilla y León.

The vital participation of Spain in the victory of the Independence of the USA was recognized late
The fact of seizing and controlling the West and South of the border of the then 13 colonies was vital.
Spain not only seized the English positions but also used her territory to supply the North American patriots with cannons, muskets, gunpowder, tents, uniforms, etc., to sanitary products.
Remember that Spain controlled Texas and Louisiana.
From New Orleans he began his aid to the 13 colonies and in his military offensive he won all the battles, expelling the English from the entire Gulf of Mexico and Florida.

Hispanic remains in the United States
There are remains such as current or old flags and shields that are being released
Spain was in the United States between 300 and 400 years depending on the areas. Although American teaching has ignored or relegated its own Hispanic history, traces remain in the symbols of many states.
There are Hispanic place names throughout much of the United States of America, even in distant Alaska.
North Americans have highlighted the history of the Anglo-American settlers, and have forgotten the Hispanic Culture, which reigned for hundreds of years in many of their present territories.
