Do you know who that country was?
This was not taught to you in school!
In the year 1789 a warship entered the Port of New York. It was only a small ship, but its 22 guns could easily sink anchored ships and part of the port. However, this was not her objective, she came from an allied country. An important character, Ambassador of a European country, disembarked from the same, who was received with all honors.
They placed him in the first places to witness the swearing-in and naming ceremony of the First President of the United States. Country, which would become the First World Power decades later.
Following George Washington’s oath, 13 cannon shots were fired as salutes from the foreign warship in honor of the First President of the new American nation.
After the ceremony, George Washington placed the foreign ambassador to his right to accompany him during the Victory parade commemorating the defeat of England.

What country is?
These are the Answers:
This was not taught to you in school!
In the year 1789, a Spanish warship named Galvezton, the ship of Bernardo de Gálvez, entered the Port of New York. This Governor and later Viceroy of New Spain, wounded in one of the battles of the American Revolution, had died a few years earlier.
The Ambassador of Spain, Diego de Gardoqui, disembarked an important one, who was received with all the honors.
He already knew George Washington. Diego de Gardoqui’s shipping company was the one who provided weapons, blankets, tents, uniforms, gunpowder, cannons and financial aid after the difficult winter in Valley Forge.
As an example: The Spanish Company of Gardoqui sent in 1777 and 1778, 215 bronze cannons, 4,000 tents, 12,826 grenades, 30,000 carabiners, 30,000 bayonets, 30,000 uniforms, 51,314 rounds of carabiners and 300,000 pounds of gunpowder.
In Philadelphia there is a statue of Diego de Gardoqui. In Gardoqui’s hometown, Bilbao in Spain, there is also a statue of Adams, one of the Fathers of the Nation.
Why so much consideration?
Because Spain was the country that helped the American Revolution the most:
He sent more troops, sent more arms and supplies, provided more financial aid, blocked English aid, participated in more battles and also won more battles than anyone else!
I know it’s hard to believe, but do your research and you will see! They are simply historical facts. Go to the earliest sources, the Founding Fathers of the U.S. recognized it.

The fascist coup in Spain, supported by Hitler and Mussolini, prevented him from doing so. His son, also an aviator, was killed in combat. He never forgave the U.S for supplying Franco with fuel during the war, and later helping him to enter the UN.For this reason, he never wanted to work for the N.A.S.A. In gratitude, the astronaut Armstrong, gave his family a piece of lunar rock.
