Laws against pirates, countries unite
Patents of marque reduced. Faced with piracy and marquees, countries reacted. Laws have been made to stop and punish pirates. Some were the temporary sentences of prison or life imprisonment, in others even death.

If they produce a crime of assault with injury, homicide or murder.
They will abandon the victims without means of salvation.
They did not respect the rules of honesty.
Countries have punished the Pirates. There were times when piracy was a problem for many nations. At this time they were dictating common rules and were preparing to fight against Piracy.
Punished by the laws of any country that captures pirates
Acts of piracy are considered and punished, such as:
Seize boats by force or with illegal methods. Stop a ship and loot its goods.
Sink a ship. Sail the seas in order to carry out acts of piracy.
